One of my New Year's resolutions is to be a more regular blogger. (like weekly instead of monthly!) I love checking my friend's blogs so much that I feel guilty that I am not providing them with equal satisfaction on my own blog. Sorry friends! I will be better. You are inspiring bloggers!
Since Trevor left for the Christmas holiday to SLC a bit before me this year, I went out and purchased a beautiful Christmas tree to enjoy. I have loved it! In Virginia Christmas trees cost about $4 per foot as opposed to $9 per foot in Utah. I originally planned on getting a very short little fresh tree to enjoy, but when I got there I was so excited about the great "deal" that I went all out on a full sized tree. (our first ever!) When I got it home, I started putting lights on and did a great job carefully hiding the wires and making sure that there were no dark spots. I started at the bottom but realized pretty fast that I was going to run out of lights. So, the lights get a little sparse at the top. Ha ha! (Which seems more obvious in this picture than in real life!) I laugh every time I walk by.
I can't wait to make it to SLC this weekend!! I am praying for no major snow storms around the country to mess up the air travel. I know it sounds strange, but I look forward to seeing some snow. This winter has been unusually warm in Virginia and the South in general. We had several days last week in the upper 70's which was nice, but my fresh pine wreath on my front door has crisped right up! Usually it stays nice and fresh. Instead it drops little needles on the carpet every time I open the door. Just a couple more days...
