Sorry to have been so bad about blogging for the past couple of weeks! Work has been so busy and T has had the camera with him at school, so no new pics. He will bring it home in the next few days and I can post another picture of how much I have grown! I feel great, which has been nice. Still running and enjoying it. My sternum is sore from growing. I told T the other day that I felt like someone had done chest compressions on me. He asked if anyone had ever done chest compressions on me. I said no, but I imagine this is what you would feel like after CPR. He laughed.
I have been totally overtaken by wanting to get the nursery ready. I hardly remember that I am still in graduate school. I feel pretty dingy and distracted. It is nice to be able to blame some of that on pregnancy! (Although I'm not totally convinced) :)
To catch up a bit, here are the highlights for the past couple of weeks:
2/14 - T made an AWESOME dinner of steak and gnocchi with fresh pesto sauce. Yum. Two heated games of "Ticket to Ride" our favorite new game. Score: 1 game each. Rematch tonight.
2/11 - Experienced what seemed like exponential growth in my belly. Would like to attribute it to baby's growth spurt, but not holding my breath.
2/9 - Bought an awesome antique oak dresser for the baby's room from a serious VA redneck named Butch. And, he had no front teeth. He was SO nice. It was really quite an experience.
2/8 - Steve and Cami found out they are having a baby boy! (The first Warner boy.) We are unbelievably excited about it. The streak has ended! HOORAY!!
2/7 - Got plane tickets to Austin, TX for spring break to go check out the dental market as a possible landing spot for after dental school.
2/4 - Fell walking up three little stairs in my house. It hurt. I managed to not spill my glass bottle of orange Crush, but my hands and shins didn't fare as well. No piano lessons this week as a result. I have a feeling it was the first of many clumsy falls over the next few months. As my Grammy would say, "I'm just getting used to my new size."
2/3 - Crib was delivered; we put it together. Love it.
All of February - REALLY COLD IN VIRGINIA! Running in the cold has been the pits. I've never been so tempted to give it up!! That blasted 10K I signed up to run in March is keeping me going. I am so ready for Spring...
1/31 - First piano lesson of my life. I have always wanted to play the piano. My dream church calling is primary pianist. No prep, no talking, no babysitting, just play. No time like the present to learn! P.S. I'm really terrible.
Life is good in VA!

Katherine,
Fun post! It is fun to hear what is going on. Ticket to Ride is also our new favorite game - it is great because you can play it with two players. We can't wait to see some updated pictures of you. Also I saw on Cami's blog that they are having a boy and I thought Trevor must be so excited - he may have a boy yet!!
I love the new look of your blog. You are really high tech. It is really fun to hear what has been happening down there. You guys have had a fun couple weeks. Take a picture of all your new nursery furniture so we can see. I feel pretty consumed with baby stuff, too. I didn't think I'd feel that way since this is #2. I don't want to do much but play with Annie, quilt, figure out how to decorate the nursery blue or read about how he is growing this week. I think I have convinced Steve that driving to TX would be fun, so, I hope we can stop by VA and meet Baby face! We miss you guys! PLESE MOVE TO TEXAS
Hi Kath--great to catch up with your life on the blog. I love it. Can you believe Cami's quilt? I can't wait to see yours. I'll post mine when it's finished. xoxoxoxo
We lived in Austin last year- GREAT city, if you can handle the heat and humidity. Very unique place, beautiful, and fun restaurants. For sure the most gorgeous city in Texas (as long as you live IN Austin and not a suburb like Round Rock or Pflugerville). Good luck!
I am so happy you have a new entry! I keep checking... Sounds like a busy month and I love that you are starting piano lessons! My hubby's dream calling is primary pianist as well :) Can't wait to see another pic of you!
This is such a fun post! It was great to read about the things you have been doing the past month! We are so excited for baby Savannah to come!
Katherine, You look adorable pregnant! It is so fun that I get to hear about your life. You will be a wonderful mom.
