Because I am getting excited to be finished working, I am having to find little things to enjoy about dropping the baby off every morning and heading in to work. The past few days I have been enjoying my beautiful commute. Yes, I know, can a commute be beautiful? Yes, in Virginia it can. The leaves are changing late this year, so things still look quite green. A lot of freeway miles here are lined with enormous trees. It is really quite stunning, but you get used to it and you forget how unusual and beautiful it is. So, today I brought along my camera and filmed a mile as I drove. Enjoy the ride!
I cross the James River every day on a wonderful old bridge. Every day I wish I had a ski boat...
Then I arrive on campus at the Law School. It is a beautiful little campus and the law school is lovely as well. (None of these pictures do justice, sorry.)
So there it is. Something to enjoy. That's all I have to say about that...

I love that you are finding the good things about a hard thing :) Reminds me to so the same (like knowing how early my kids will go to bed at night when they have super short afternoon naps or how awesome I'll feel after my workout if I DO get out of bed at 6:15 am even if it's dark and so calm and quiet in my house!)
Halloween looked like so much fun too--you guys are a cute little family :)
