I've officially retired, as of the week before last. Retirement is lovely and has been treating me well thus far. I still feel like every day is a vacation day and I havn't had any trouble letting go of all of the crazy work issues that I left behind. I have missed having a desk which represented virtually the only truly personal space that I have/had, but I am adjusting to that as well.
S & I play, play, play and I generally can't get over how fun it is to be home with her. I know how lucky I am to get to be at home and I am thankful that we are in a situation that allows it.
Here are a few pictures of what is going on in our neighborhood....

Yes, that is a Fisher Price house from the 1970's. It was mine (and all of my other siblings') and I rescued it from the D.I. pile at my parents' house. Aren't you glad it never made it there Grammy and Gramps?? It is good for another generation of fun.
I love boxes!! When she sat down she fit entirely in this one. We had a good time...until it tipped over with her in it. Sorry Savvy!
"Hmmm...please let me taste the camera..."
The tulips have been so beautiful this spring. I just bought a couple of bags at Costco last year and threw them in the ground. (Hooray for Costco!!) Do you believe how curly her hair is?! It is just like her Dad's.
The boxwood is in bloom and Trevor has the lawn looking gorgeous; it's the first thing that people comment on when they come see our house. It is also allergy season, which is a killer for me. This is the time of year that the car is coated in a thick layer of yellow pollen every day and there are little puddles of pollen on the ground after it rains. I left the kitchen window open the other day only to find that every horizontal surface within 10 feet of the window was also covered. It ruins my dishtowels to wipe it up. It is the price we pay for a beautiful spring where everything, including the weeds, flowers.

So fun that you are home every day now and really making the most of it. I am home every day and need to do that more often--just play, play, play with my kiddos!
I am jealous of your spring because it has been cold here!! Today is gorgeous and close to 80 but it snowed 2 times last week and is supposed to snow 2 times again this coming week...Your green grass and flowers are so enviable!
I love her curly hair!
