Happy Halloween (1)

For the record, I didn't want S to trick-or-treat this year because I was highly doubtful that she would appreciate the amazing wonderfulness of ringing someone's doorbell and getting candy in return.  Trevor really wanted to take her, so, why not?  She looked so cute.
They just went to five or six houses.  She loved ringing the doorbell, and loved carrying her bucket.  Once home/inside she sat with her bucket and just touched each treat.  She took them out, held them, turned them over and over, and put them back.
I'll be honest in that I did not handle my halloween candy (as a child) in the same manner.  I couldn't wait to rip into my treats the minute I got home.  The only reason I didn't start munching while I was still out on the street is because my teachers at school made me SO scared of poisoned candy.  So I waited until I could inspect each piece in the light to be sure that the Twix hadn't been carefully opened, injected, and then placed back in the wrapper, with the wrapper glued shut with Elmer's or something.   I really thought that.  As if my neighbors wanted to poison kids on Halloween.  Very strange.
Me: Can you smile for me?
Me: Nice teeth.
Reminds me ever so much of her non-biological, spunky big sister, Pacee.  (Pictured here:)

(I can't make the pictures sit side-by-side, but you get the point.)  We miss you, Pacee SOOOO much!!!

Once again, Trevor couldn't resist just feeding her a few M&M's.  What was the harm?  It was Halloween!
I'm pretty sure she thought it was the best day of her whole life.

so cute. Gavin couldn't resist all the candy...and wanted to open each as it was put in his bag. I would trade for Savannah's calm manner :)

So cute! And I love all your pumpkins--you must have been a busy woman to do so many (or was it Trevor who carved and carved away?)
