We had a wonderful Christmas in SLC this year. We drove from PHX to SLC, which wouldn't have been too bad except that Savannah had the flu in the car on the way. Few jobs as a parent can be more disgusting than handling (literally) your child's throw-up and diarrhea in close quarters. (Sorry to be graphic, but it was a graphic experience.) When we pulled in to SLC I seriously considered taking our car straight to the dealership to trade it in for a new one. I was pretty sure there was NO WAY the smell would ever go away. Alas, it did, or at least we are used to it now. So, we didn't see ANYONE in Utah that we had planned to see because we quickly discovered that Savannah's flu was EXTREMELY contagious (every Warner and half of the Winegars got it.) Sorry friends, we just didn't want to share.
Since back in AZ, it has been in the 70's every day, and we are taking advantage!! We ride our new bike every day (my Christmas present, which is so cool and worthy of its own post, coming soon.) And we went on a fun hike the other day. I can't say that I miss the cold and snow right now.
I gave Savannah a hair cut...all by myself. I have attended a lot of school, but never beauty school, and unfortunately it shows. Actually, the cut isn't too bad, it is better than the shaggy look that she was sporting before. It does make her look older, but I like it.

Cozy in the pillows from my bed. Yes, we have a lot of pillows on the bed. I NEED them. :)

Want to SEE giraffe, not BE giraffe. (At the AZ Museum for Youth)

Nice view of the smog, right??

How fun! I could use some of that 70 degree weather about now. Our little Taylee just went through that same flu. It's nasty! I hope all is well now. Enjoy that weather, and yes we want to see the bike.
Wow, Katherine you look great. YOUR hair is so cute!!! I'm sorry to hear Savannah had the flu over the holidays. Being sick over Christmas is the worst! Hope she's back to normal now. Can't wait to see pictures of the new bike.
I get that throw up in the car thing...Gavin did all the back from AZ at Thanksgiving. Disgusting...the smell everywhere. I am so sorry! That is AWFUL! And I know what you mean about the awesome weather...I am loving the warm and not missing the cold...and love your short hair!!
We probably won't make it to AZ before June (nothing planned anyway) but I would love to see you then if you are still there :)
Just had to tell you how much I love your hiking pic. Are you guys on top of Camelback Mtn? Looks gorgeous (even with the smog--remember we get the sick inversion to enjoy here in SLC :)
