Reading will change our world

I am so excited for Savannah to learn to read, but at the same time, some sad things will happen.  For example, she will realize that a "finger" is not really a "thinger".  That makes me so sad.

There is a Greek restaurant here that we drive by regularly (see photo).  For fairly obvious reasons Savannah calls it, "Muffin Muffin."  (She made it up completely on her own.)  We have discussed "Muffin Muffin" many, many times and just exactly what they might sell in "Muffin Muffin", and what their hours of operation might be.  Every time we drive by I hear from the back seat, "Muuuuuuuffin Muuuufin!!!"  The other day we drove by and she said, "Heeeeeeyyyyyyy, why is there a "p" on the Muffin Muffin sign?  Muffin Muffin does not have a "p" in it."  What do I say to that.  I'll be honest, I love Muffin Muffin.  What's the fun of Plaka Greek Cafe???

I thought for a minute and said, "Can't we just call it Muffin Muffin?"
