March Randomness

Here is a photo catch-up from the end of February and early March:

We were all sick for what seemed like an eternity.  To avoid yet another "movie day" we built a Rapunzel tower for the princesses.  Fun was had by all.

Check out that bed-head.
We finally did emerge, and just in time for the warm spring weather to begin.  Park days are a must.  Virginia plopped down right in the middle of the boys, next to Wyatt, her best buddy.  We love park days.

We have been inspecting a lot of bugs that are also emerging from their winter sleep.

Dave and his "friend" Suzanne came to visit for a few days.  While they were in town we went to the Zilker Kite Festival again (a winner every year) and went strawberry picking among other fun things.

Then it was "Go Texan Day" which celebrates Texas Independence Day.  Someday I will write a separate post all about Texas because I just want to put some information out there about my theories of why Texans are the way they are.  It is a great place to live, and especially great for raising children.

I didn't get any pictures of Savannah in her hot pink cowgirl getup before she headed off to school, but I did manage to catch a quick picture of this temporary tattoo that she came home from school wearing.  I gasped.  And ran to get my camera.  And thought to myself, "that is the BEST temporary tattoo I have ever seen."  Once again, thank you Baptists for keeping some enthusiasm in this whole religion thing.  I'm a fan.

And, not surprisingly, we have been eyeballing our lake waiting and waiting for the right day to get out there and ski.  Somehow it is an unwritten law of nature that the lake is always PERFECT on Sunday when we take our walk across the dam.  Damn.
