Chesterfield Berry Farm

One of my favorite Spring activities here in Virginia is strawberry picking at the farm. We ride out on a tractor to the fields and pick berries for as long as you can stand it. The berries are huge and ripe. The farm has an all-you-can-eat policy while you are picking. I tend to sample at least every 4th or 5th berry that I pick. I find them totally irresistible. The color and shape, as well as the thrill of digging through the foliage to find them is a pure joy. I enjoyed myself so much that I forgot I was pregnant...until I saw the pictures.

Kath,
I can't believe the size of those berries! They may be bigger than your tummy even... Can I come berry picking in VA?

Those are some serious strawberries--they look delicious! Now I am totally craving some :) What a fun activity--next year you'll have to take your little one year old girl to help you pick and sample the berries!

Katherine Warner Winegar! Morgan sent me the link to your blog and what a treat to have a peak at your life. Of course you are out picking strawberries and enjoying every moment. It is great to hear that you are doing so well. I wish I had a blog to send you to - still working on that. If you get a chance, I would love to hear from you. lyonhouse@comcast.net Good luck with the baby! Kathy K. Lyon

What fun to pick berries and eat them fresh off the bushes. You're good to only eat every fourth. I would eat every other. We are excited to come visit soon. Mom is getting a few surprises ready. It won't be long now.

Dad
