Week in review:

Modern art on MondayAsleep at the table. SUCH a rarity at our house that I ran out in the pouring rain (another rarity) to buy a carbon-monoxide alarm just to be sure she wasn't in a REAL coma. Seriously, I did. On Sunday night, at Walmart. I am so ashamed.
Built a "fart." (fort) Yes, that's what she calls them. It's too funny to correct her. She also says, "thingers" (fingers), "hanitizer" (hand sanitizer), and "peep" (poop/pee combo--words we don't really use but she has heard her friends use infrequently enough to not quite grasp.)
I'm getting good at building farts. (Dave-does that word make you uncomfortable???)
Reading with Dad.

Bumbo in the bath. Yes, it floats; bobs like a buoy. Can't let go. See her white knuckles holding on??
Sick on the couch. See the ice cream bucket? And of course a giraffe had to accompany her all day. She was still hilarious even with a fever and upset tummy.
Fun with a tiny tongue. She is really adorable.

a. I can't believe you went to Walmart. I bet you ended up buying more than just that carbon monoxide detecter while you were there...
b. V looks terrified in the bumbo. That's a great picture.
c. I think I'm going to start calling it hanitizer. That's a great combination word like ginormous or chilax.

I cannot believe that you still have (and use) that old polar fleece blanket that we all got for Christmas in 1998. I think yours is the only one that has remained...siblings, correct me if I'm wrong about that!! Love it. Great post. Love the pictures.

D- my eyes did wander around the store (especially at the Easter candy) but because it was Sunday I didn't pick up ONE OTHER ITEM. I beat the system...sort of.

My kids use the words hanitizer and peep too! So funny!

Oh and I've seen kids who fall asleep in their highchairs, but it's never happened at my house. I probably would've been heading to walmart too!
