Let's go fly a kite
at the Zilker Kite Festival. So much fun. This was the 89th annual festival. Somewhere around 25,000 people come to fly kites, watch, and hang out. Our kids had a great time but the wind was scant at best. Our kite is a little on the heavy side so we had a hard time getting it in the air. But the kids tried their best. Other people were more successful though, there were hundreds in the air.

Any time there are that many kites flying and no one takes one to the head, it's a good day.

We've tried several times to fly a kite around here and just when we think it's windy enough the kite just can't fly! I think I need a tutorial:-) Looked like a great festival. I need to be better at finding fun things to do in Austin.
wow..that is just a few kites!!! Sheesh...what fun!
