July--Part 1

July was a super fun month for us.  I packed up SMI and drove to Utah, and stayed for FIVE weeks.  Trevor joined us every weekend and for his week off in the middle of the month.
Here's what we did:

Went to Liberty Park

Then we headed to Brighton for the 4th of July parade.  We played, and hiked and then woke up the next day for the annual Brighton parade to collect some candy.

Watched the fireworks on the 4th of July at the Country Club.  Savannah did not like the noise so she laid down on the grass and went to sleep.

Then off to Idaho to spend time with our Godfrey family and see the beautiful farm.

Then back to SLC for some more fun.  

I found VA asleep this way.  She had pulled all her laundry and a garbage can into her bed.  Oops.

Gramps and Savannah played "Guess Who?" almost every morning before work.  

One of my wishes this year was to go to Lagoon, with just adults.  It was so funny!  I asked my Mom if she would watch the kids while I went with my siblings, Dave and Grace.  She said that she wanted to go.  So we asked my Dad too, and everyone wanted to come!  It was so much fun.  We went right after everyone got home from work.  The kids stayed with a sitter.  We rode "Wicked" three times.  

It was hilarious.

It was a beautiful, cool night.

Then we "bounced back" with the kids.  Savannah LOVED it.  Virginia wanted to ride all of the rides but was disappointed to be a little too small.  Maybe next year.

Savannah LOVES maps.  We had to keep careful track of the map while we were in the park.  

And then we studied the map after we got home.  Savannah and Grammy circled all of the rides we went on that day.

Davey and I rode the "Sky Coaster"...twice.  I screamed the scream of death...twice.  Super fun.
