Sorry for my LONG and drawn out pause in blogging. In the past month I have packed up everything I own, driven across the country, nearly sold a house (it's close, we're hoping it will go through), settled into a lovely borrowed home (from Trevor's aunt and uncle) and deposited all of my belongings in a storage unit. Just a few life changes. Also inhibiting my ability to blog was the little crash of our one and only laptop just two days after we had the internet hooked up at our house. Fortunately in the process I was able to make a new friend that lives here in Phoenix. It's name is iMac and I've invited it to permanently live at our house. We were an instant pair and the chemistry has just been unbelievable. I really see a future for us and look forward to the potential.
Savannah seems to have grown up so much just since we left Virginia. She is walking EVERYWHERE, talking constantly, (both real and invented words) and she has also developed an opinion which is mostly funny. I laugh all day and can foresee some seriously difficult parenting issues with discipline etc. because I really cannot keep a straight face. The best is when she very frankly tells me, "no" and shows me where to redirect my guiding hands. I just can't believe her. I also can't believe how much of myself I see in her behavior, facial expressions, etc. Yikes! I need to do my best to capture some on film to share.
So, as I said, we are living in Trevor's aunt and uncle's winter home, which has been a HUGE blessing. We were able to walk right in and not have to fuss with any furniture or other stuff. It was so nice to not have to mess with the usual disasters of moving in. The downside has been that the home is in a retirement community that completely clears out in the summer. I have no neighbors and the yard is all rocks (low maintenance!) So S and I have to get out every day. We swim A LOT, go to a children's art museum, go to the grocery store, and pretty much any other places that are air conditioned and get us out of the intense heat. The temps have been over 110 for the past week. Hot! But, very doable. My morning runs have been nice thanks to Marie Woods, who is in town visiting her family for a few weeks. Marie has made it worth getting up early!!! She is one of my friends from Virginia that ran the 10K with me pregnant. Remember that? I will miss her dearly when she leaves next week as she is my only friend in my neck of the woods that doesn't live under the same roof as me. We have had fun with our kids too. (Pics at the museum are with Marie's kids, who Savannah obviously LOVES.)
A final note: Sorry my posts look like they were done by a kindergartner. I can't quite figure out how to move the pictures around. It is a little different on a Mac and I think it will take a little getting used to. Sorry. Since I am just about the last one to move to Mac, any tips from you out there? What do I do???

Back to blogging is right! It was so fun to catch up and hear about all that has happened recently. Happy first B-day to your beautiful daughter! I am loving those curls you mentioned in an earlier post--they are so sweet on her little toddler body :)
