Butter Bandit

S & I were making rice krispy treats to take to friends (and enjoy ourselves) and I had to step out of the room for just a moment.  I had left the marshmallows and butter sitting out on the counter after we had added them to our pot.  I came back in to catch her just taking her SECOND bite of a totally mangled stick of butter.  (See her little teeth marks all the way down the entire left side??)  Funny?  Yes, but even more so when you know that it was on multiple occasions that my mother caught me doing the same thing as a young child (including right at the grocery store!)  I suppose I am no longer the only butter-lover at my house.

Katherine,
My family gave my 3 year old cousin a tub of butter as a birthday present one year as a joke. That kid would have eaten the entire thing if his parents would have let him. Sick!
Hope things are going well. I'm enjoying reading about funny Savannah :)

Let's remember, though, that Mom only bought margarine in those days. Don't kid yourself that you ate butter... no, no. It was fully hydrogenated oil for which you developed a taste. Let's hope your daughter has better taste. Yuck!
