Fire Ants

Poor little VA was crawling around on the grass at my feet and put her hand right on top of a fire-ant hill.  Her arms were instantly swarmed and she had so many ants on her I couldn't get them off fast enough.  It was honestly maybe 10 seconds before I could brush her all off and get her in to the sink.  She was beside herself and so was I.  I had only 1 ant on my foot with one tiny bite and it really burned.  I can't imagine what she was feeling.  She must have 50 bites on her one arm.  They are all over her hands, between her fingers, even on the palm.   And this is what her arm looks like today:
