Today my coworkers threw me a baby shower. It was so fun!! We went to a local country club and had lunch and opened gifts. It was so fun, but it felt strange to not have my Mother there. My coworkers were so sweet and generous. One lady had a friend make the cake, which was the shape of a bib. So cute, and delicious. It felt surreal that the shower was for me, but I did enjoy it!!
Events like today make me feel very far away from home. I miss SLC and family SO much. While I feel like this experience in Virginia has been a great adventure, I do get lonely for familiar places and people. It will be so great to visit SLC in July!! I can't wait to see everyone!!
