Happy 30th Trevor!

Yesterday was Trevor's 30th Birthday! Hard to believe that we are leaving our fabulous 20's behind and moving on toward real life. Trevor has really lived well during his 20's (I still have a couple more to go!) I feel so lucky to have Trevor in my life. Here are a few things about Trevor that make him an amazing and wonderful person.

He has taught me a lot of great things and has taken me on MANY adventures, around the world and around our town. He knows what he likes and he knows how to have fun. He is my personal chef and makes a gormet dinner for me virtually every night of the week. And if you know Trevor, you know that we're not talking mac 'n cheese! He never raises his voice and the only person I have ever seen him sincerely mad at is himself. Thanks to Trevor, we have the most beautiful lawn in the entire neighborhood. Every child in the ward and neighborhood knows and loves Trevor. He dips their toes in the stream out back and turns on the sprinklers so that they can run through them together. Sometimes the kids cry when they have to leave our house and can't play with Trevor any more. He doesn't glean any satisfaction out of material posessions associated with status and rarely asks for or wants new things. He dreams of Hawaii every day of his life. He draws Hawaiian beach scenes every week on the back side of the handout of one lucky kid in our primary class. Each week the kids decide who will get "a Hawaii guy picture" from Trevor. Trevor was fascinated by the ultrasound of our child. He loves to feel her move and is excited to be a dad. He was the first to go out and buy a baby outfit when we found out our baby was girl. (A baby sized Ute cheerleader outfit!) I know that he will be an awesome dad and I can't wait to see him in that role. I know that with Trevor I can plan to have another great decade of fun with him!!

Last night Trevor had to work on a huge school project for today, so we will be celebrating tonight. Pics will follow...

We would like to add (to the list of wonderful qualities) that Trevor never forgets anyone's birthday or what is going on in his friends' lives. He is such a good friend. Lucky for us, we get to be in the same family, too.

Happy 30th!! Although Trevor is in some denial I am sure that his 30s will be as fun as his 20s because boring and old just doesn't fit Trevor. Trevor is such a fun brother and will be a great dad. He gets so excited about what new things Eliza is doing so I am sure he will be even more excited when it is little Savannah doing the new and fun things.

Kath--this post was really fun to read. I don't feel like I have hung out with Trevor all that much so your writing really filled me in on what a great guy he is. I am happy you two are together and so supportive of each other--you will be amazing parents :) Happy Birthday to your hubby!
