We are home from Utah and what a trip! We never get to see as many people or places as we intend, but we always have a great time. Savannah was a trooper. She traveled great, slept on all of the flights. She has grown a lot and is getting so much more responsive and awake. I love it!! She gave her first smile away to my Dad, (Gramps) and has been smiling every day since. She discovered her voice and can coo and respond when we talk to her. It just keeps getting more and more fun!
We took two trips within the trip. We went to Idaho to visit our Godfrey relatives there and spend a fabulous day on the lake with them (it really was fabulous). I skied for the first time in three years. I LOVE to water ski and it made me vow to never go for so long without skiing again, ever.
Last week we went to Phoenix to check out a dental practice there. We really liked it and think that Phoenix could be a great place to settle down, at least for a while. Will you come visit us if we live there? Maybe in January or February? Think that one over...
It was so fun to spend three whole weeks with family. The longer I live away, the harder it is to say goodbye. It is always bittersweet. I am excited to get home to sleep in my own bed and drive my own car, but I hate that I won't see family for several months, and I hate to think of how much Savannah will change and grow with only me to see it. I love you all family!! Miss you already!!
Here are some pics from the trip.
Savannah with all of her fathers. (My Gramps too!!) And with two of her adoring cousins, Lizzie and Anna. They were so cute to her and she loved them back. We already miss Lizzie, Anna and Daisy. Whenever I was with Lizzie and Anna we talked about how much we wished Annie was there too. Annie your cousins miss you!!
We blessed Savvy at the Warner family cabin up Mt. Air, one of the most beautiful places in the world. We had just our immediate families and a couple of dear friends there. It was a very tender experience. Trevor gave her a great blessing. We blessed her in the same dress that I was blessed in nearly 30 years ago. Way to go Mom for keeping it so beautiful and white for all these years.
Lucky Savvy was held nearly every minute of every day. Here she is with my cousin Stewart Bradley (who just got drafted to play football for the Philadelphia Eagles; check out those guns!) and Trevor's Grandma Godfrey in Idaho. We hauled her all over the place and she was happy as a clam to snooze in someone's arms.

Holy cow Stewart Bradley is a huge man!! I used to live in his ward and he was just a crazy little cub scout--way fun to see him now.
Kath--thanks for making a little detour over to see us. It was so fun to visit with you and see your darling baby girl. Glad to have you back blogging too!
